Sacred music by London composer Sam Petchey

Sam Petchey is a London-based composer of sacred music, pianist and conductor. He founded Sing For Good, a choir that raises money for charity. His work includes sacred choral music, songs and original sheet music.

He has worked as a military musician since 2006, including as an accompanist at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, and as a musician in the bands of the Household Division.

Sam won the Guards Chapel Composition Competition in 2023 for Jesu, Lover of My Soul, and was a finalist in the 2020 UK Songwriting Competition with Be Not Troubled. His successful collaboration with Abby Twigger includes The Lamb (Women’s Chorus), broadcast as a finalist in Classic FM’s Making Music Carol of the Year 2023.

He is married to Vicky and they have four grown-up children.
